The Lazy Cockatrice (Hex 0203)
Area-24: The Ardin's Living Space
The Ardin's family living space sits above the coach house. A small kitchen includes an iron stove, utensils retired from use at the inn, and a barrel of Gerald's personal reserve on tap.
The dining area has an ancestral suit of plate mail that once belonged to Ector the Ardent. The magic sword Lumen sits on the mantelpiece, and a blessed shield hangs on the wall of the main living area.
A large writing desk sits in the archway between the dining room and the living room, which includes all the ledgers, documentation, and passed guest books of the Inn. Along with a family journal that has been passed from father to son noting the major changes and events around the Inn for over a century.
A bookshelf with an enviable library on venting, brewing, travel, humor, and other subjects of value to an innkeeper sit behind glass on a closing bookshelf, next to which is a rack of fine wines collected by Gerald and his father over the last few decades. That collection is easily worth 4,000 sil (gp).
The living room also includes a well used spinning wheel, and a cheese ball in which several rare and expensive cheeses are kept, which are only served to wealthy, aristocratic guests on special request.
